Access to and use of this website and the products and services available through this website are subject to the following terms, conditions and notices. By using the services, you are agreeing to all of the Terms of Service, as may be updated by us from time to time. You should check this page regularly to take notice of any changes we may have made to the Terms of Service. Nothing in this contract excludes or affects your statutory rights.

Access to this website is permitted on a temporary basis, and we reserve the right to withdraw or amend the services without notice. We will not be liable if for any reason this website is unavailable at any time or for any period. From time to time, we may restrict access to some parts or this entire website.

PRIVACY

Here at LJ’s Ladies Boutique we are dedicated to protecting the privacy of each and every one of our customers. We will not disclose any information regarding our customers or visitors to the site to any third parties apart from where it is part of providing a service to you – this includes; arranging for a product to be sent to you, carrying out credit and other security checks and for the purposes of customer research or when you have given us your permission to do so.

CONSENT

LJ’s Ladies boutique will not provide or sell any of your personal details or any credit card information to third parties (excluding partners from whom you may have linked to our site) without your permission.

If you have made a purchase from the website we may occasionally update you on our latest products and offers via e-mail. You will also be given the opportunity to receive such communications from us and selected third parties when you become a member of ljsladiesboutique.co.uk

All LJ’s Boutique members have the option to unsubscribe from marketing communication from us. If you do not wish to continue to receive emails from us and/or selected third parties you should opt-out clicking on the ‘unsubscribe’ link in any emails which we might send you. This will then suspend your email notifications however you can sign up again if you wish to do so.

WEBSITE

Cookies – if you have registered with LJs Ladies boutique then your computer may store an identifying cookie which will save you time each time you re-visit the website, by remembering your email address for you. Cookies are small files which are stored on a user’s computer. They are designed to hold a small amount of data specific to a particular client and website and can be accessed either by the web server or the client computer. We may use personal information provided by you in order to conduct appropriate anti-fraud checks. All such rights are reserved by LJ’s Ladies Boutique. You may store, display and print the content supplied solely for your own personal use. You are not permitted to publish, manipulate, distribute or otherwise reproduce, in any format, any of the content or copies of the content supplied to you or which appears on this website nor may you use any such content in connection with any business or commercial enterprise.

TERMS OF SALE

By placing an order you are offering to purchase a product on and subject to the following terms and conditions. All orders are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price.

We accept orders from individuals in the UK, European Economic Area (EEA) and worldwide. If you order products from our site for delivery outside the UK they may be subject to import duties and taxes. We are not responsible for the payment of such duties and taxes.

By placing an order with us you are confirming that you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract; you are at least 18 years old and you live in one of our serviced countries. We will not process an order until payment is received in full. Once an order has been processed we are unable to amend it.

LJ’s Ladies Boutique reserves the right to refuse any request made by you. When placing an order you undertake that all details you provide to us are true and accurate, that you are an authorized user of the credit or debit card used to place your order and that there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of the goods. All prices advertised are subject to change and without notice.

When you place an order, you will receive an acknowledgement email confirming receipt of your order: this email will only be an acknowledgement and will not constitute acceptance of your order. A contract between us will not be formed until we send you confirmation by email that the goods which you ordered have been dispatched to you. Only those goods listed in the confirmation email sent at the time of dispatch will be included in the contract formed.

Pricing and availability

Whilst we try and ensure that all details, descriptions and prices which appear on this website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of any goods which you have ordered we will inform you of this as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund.

Paying with Klarna

In cooperation with Klarna Bank AB (publ), Sveavagen 46, 111 34, Stockholm, Sweden, we offer you the option to pay through Klarna.

GIFT VOUCHER/DISCOUNT CODE TERMS

Gift Vouchers

These gift card terms apply to pounds sterling gift cards purchased online through the LJ’s Boutique Website (www.ljsladiesboutique.co.uk) as well as gift cards purchased at a stand-alone physical LJ’s Boutique store.

LJ’s Boutique reserves the right to update and change the terms and conditions of our LJ’s Boutique gift cards at any time. This does not affect your legal rights. Use of your LJ’s Boutique gift card constitutes acceptance of our Terms and Conditions, and we therefore recommend you read them carefully. It is your responsibility to check these gift card terms from time to time to ensure you are aware of any changes which may have been made. LJ’s Boutique gift cards remain the property of LJ’s Boutique who maintains the right to cancel the card in its sole discretion in situations where it is deemed necessary to do so (such as to comply with applicable laws or as a result of circumstances beyond its control).

The value of your LJ’s gift card can be redeemed either online at www.ljsladiesboutique.co.uk or in store provided the gift card is redeemed within the redemption period of 6 months. If you wish to use your physical card online, please contact Customer Services who can issue you with an online code.

The gift card balance can not be exchanged for cash or redeemed against the purchase of another card.

Validity

Your LJ’s Boutique gift card is valid for a period of 6 months from the date of purchase, following which they will expire automatically. A gift card cannot be used after the expiry date and any remaining balance will be removed and the card will become invalid and no longer available for use. We have no obligation to remind or inform you of a gift card’s expiry and it is your sole responsibility to ensure that any balance is used in full prior to expiry.

A gift card expires automatically once its balance has been exhausted.

Only one gift card may be used per online order. In-store, there is no limit on the number of gift cards that may be used in one transaction. To transfer the balances from multiple gift cards onto a single gift card, please contact our Customer Service team.

Lost/Stolen

You are solely responsible for the safe keeping and security of your gift card following delivery. In cases where your LJ’s gift card is lost or stolen, LJ’s Boutique cannot be held responsible for any balance lost on a LJ’s Boutique gift card as a result of theft or fraud.

Data Protection

Personal data relating to your purchase or use of a gift card will be used in accordance with current applicable data protection and privacy legislation and our privacy policy which can be found at https://www.ljsladiesboutique.co.uk/privacy-policy/

Complaints

Any complaints need to be addressed to [email protected] These will be dealt with by a dedicated 3rd party complaints department.

On sending the complaint to the complaints department, you agree for your information to be shared and used by this 3rd party.

Please allow up to 28 days for a response from this department.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree, as we do, to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Birthday Discount

We are offering a birthday discount which is a unique 10% off discount code that you will receive for use on your birthday. This discount can only be redeemed online at the checkout on our website www.ljsladiesboutique.co.uk

  1. Discount code valid for one single use.
  2. The code is only valid on the date of your birthday until midnight.
  3. Cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount code.
  4. Delivery charges may apply on top of your order and will not be included in the discounted rate.
  5. You must let us know in advance of your birthday in order to receive your code. If you do not wish to receive a birthday discount code, you can opt out by contacting our customer service team on [email protected]
  6. This discount can not be used to purchase gift cards, to add funds to the LJ’s Savings account or used on sale items/other promotions (other items may also be excluded at any point and without notice)
Discount and Promotion Codes

Discount codes are only valid for orders placed online at www.ljsladiesboutique.co.uk

Discount codes entitle you, at the time of ordering, to a saving on a new order placed with LJ’s Boutique.

LJ’s Boutique reserves the right to decline to accept orders where, in its opinion, a promotion code is invalid for the order being placed.

This does include the use of the Welcome discount code for 10% off – this is for brand new customer only, and not to be used if you have purchased from LJ’s Boutique before.

Discount codes may only be valid on specific products, specific dates and while stocks last and may be withdrawn at any time.

Only one discount code can be used per order.

In some instances, a discount code may only be used once per customer or once per household.

Discount codes are not valid in conjunction with any other promotion. Offer is not valid on sale items or other discounted items.

In the event of product returns, refunds will be given for cash used in the original purchase once the discount is applied, less any shipping, gift wrap or gift card costs charged on the original order.

In the event of part of the order being returned, the value of the discount applied on that order will be spread between the goods proportionately. The sum in cash exceeding this value, less any shipping, gift wrap or gift card costs charged on the original order, will be returned to the customer. The promotional discount will not be applied to replacement items.

In the event of any returns meaning that the order no longer qualifies for the promotion advertised, LJ’s Boutique reserves the right to deduct the value of the offer from the refund.

Free delivery promotions apply to UK standard delivery only.

In promotions where there is a free or half price item when purchasing multiple items, please note that the discount will be applied to the cheapest item.

LJ’s Boutique reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time.

DELIVERY OPTIONS

We offer a range of delivery options and these can be selected on our checkout page.

Delivery charges will automatically be calculated at the checkout page. If your parcel is over the maximum weight (usually 2kg) you will be contacted by customer service and liable for the extra delivery costs.

Dispatch times may vary according to availability and any guarantees or representations made as to delivery times are limited to mainland UK and subject to any delays resulting from postal delays or for uncontrollable forces which we will not be responsible.

Undeliverable Packages

When a postal carrier returns an undeliverable package to us, we issue a full refund (excluding delivery charges and £14 charge that is incurred from the courier)

We are unable to re-send packages that are returned to us as undeliverable. If you would still like to purchase those products, you’re welcome to place a new order. A package may be ‘undeliverable’ because the address provided was incorrect or, following 2 failed delivery attempts, it has not been collected from the local collection office and has subsequently been returned to the sender.

We will refund these orders (excluding delivery charges and £14 charge as incurred by the courier) within 28 days of receiving them back to our warehouse and you will be notified with an email to confirm we have the return.

Click and Collect

Click and collect allows you to order online and pick up your purchase free from our store in Armthorpe. You order will usually be ready around 48 hours after receiving your ‘order complete’ email.

You may collect during store opening hours.

Click and collect orders will be kept for 14 days from the day you’ve placed your order. After 30 days your parcel will be placed in our ‘uncollected item’ bin and the items donated to charity and you will not be refunded.

Back Orders

Back orders are available on some of the Gift & Homeware Items Only. Please check the description of the items for more information regarding the delivery dates. Once a back order is placed you have 14 days to cancel the order. Once you have passed the 14 days unfortunately you will not longer be able cancel the order. There will be no returns on Gift & Homeware due to their fragile nature, but if you have contacted customer services and are returning for a known reason please be aware we will not be liable for any breakages, you will not longer be eligible for a refund and you will need to contact your returns courier to claim.

Returning Unwanted Items
RETURNS / EXCHANGES

Unfortunately, we are currently unable to process exchanges. Please return your item(s) to us following the method below:

  • Re-pack the item in its original packaging or in a secure, waterproof package with labels and tags still attached.
  • Cover your address label with the LJ’s returns label found on the bottom right of your returns form.
  • Return the package and obtain proof of postage. Keep your certificate of postage safe as you will need this as your proof of return.
  • Ensure you include your paperwork with order number/name and reason for return.
WHAT IS YOUR RETURNS POLICY?
  • Items must be returned within 14 days of the date the parcel has been received by the customer.
  • Items must be unworn and unwashed.
  • Shoes must be tried on indoors.
  • Items must have all tags attached.
  • No returns on necklaces, leggings, underwear or face masks
  • No returns on sale items
  • No returns on tanning products
  • No returns on Handbags & Headwear & Scarves

LJ’s Ladies Boutique as a seller are not responsible for any postage costs when an order is placed. If the purchaser decides they no longer wish to keep the order and decide to return it, all postage costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Please note it can take us up to 14 working days to process the return once it has arrived but do keep hold of your tracking to check for a piece of mind

If you return an order that has been paid for using loyalty points – you will only be refunded for actual money spent.

No loyalty points will be refunded on returned items. 

HOW DO I RETURN MY ITEM(S)
  • Re-Pack the item(s) with the original packaging, labels and tags still attached.
  • Cover you address label with the LJ’s returns label found on the bottom of your returns form.
  • Return the packing and obtain a proof of postage. Keep your certificate of postage safe as you will need this as your proof of postage.

We’re sorry, but we are unable to offer free returns for customers, returns must be made at your own cost. All customers who wish to return their items can use the returns label found on the bottom of their returns form.

*Please note, refunds will not be given on items deemed unfit for resale, reasons may include;

  • makeup marks
  • perfume smell
  • tan marks
  • alterations
  • strong odours

In the following instances, returns will not be refunded:

  • SALE ITEMS (to the value of £42 or less)
  • Out of the 14 day returns window
  • Not fit for resale
  • Paperwork not included in the return parcel

It is your responsibility to include the relevant paperwork inside your returns parcel. This must include your name, order number, address and reason for return. Any items returned without the correct paperwork will be put to one side for 28 days. Following this time if no contact is made from the customer the items in question will be given to charity.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I RECEIVE AN INCORRECT OR FAULTY ITEM?

Please send us an e-mail or Facebook message with your order number, the name/product code of the item you were supposed to receive and further details of the problem. We will then advise if the item can be returned or not. Items must not be worn, have the tags in tact and should be returned within 14 days of receipt.

For items that are found faulty, the returns postage cost will be reimbursed for these items only. We will send a returns label for this or  a maximum of £3.20

If you return a faulty item you will be sent a replacement (not a refund) if you wish for a refund then there will be no reimbursement on the return postage.

*A consumer cannot claim for a refund or replacement if he/she alters the item or causes any damage to the item.

LJ’s hold the right to cancel and refund any order that has been purchased through their website. Some cases include: pricing entered incorrectly by administration staff and orders made from countries we don’t ship to.

Repeated Returns

We offer a flexible returns policy to make your online shopping experience even easier. We do monitor the number of returns made by customers and continued returns will be flagged and may, at our discretion, lead to the closure of your LJ’s account or future orders being refused. After which point any future returns will incur an additional handling fee to cover our costs.

Disclaimer of Liability

The material displayed on this website is provided without any guarantees, conditions or warranties as to its accuracy. Unless expressly stated to the contrary to the fullest extend permitted by law LJ’s Ladies Boutique and its suppliers, content providers and advertisers hereby expressly exclude all conditions, warranties and other terms which might otherwise be implied by statute, common law or the law of equity and shall not be liable for any damages whatsoever, including but without limitation to any direct, indirect, special, consequential, punitive or incidental damages, or damages for loss of use, profits, data or other intangibles, damage to goodwill or reputation, or the cost of procurement of substitute goods and services, arising out of or related to the use, inability to use, performance or failures of this website and any materials posted thereon, irrespective of whether such damages were foreseeable or arise in contract, tort, equity, restitution, by statute, at common law or otherwise. This does not affect LJ’s Ladies Boutique liability for death or personal injury arising from its negligence, or for fraudulent misrepresentation, misrepresentation as to a fundamental matter or any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

You may link to our homepage or individual product page, provided you do so in a way that is fair and legal and does not damage our reputation or take advantage of it, but you must not establish a link in such as way as to suggest any form of association, approval or endorsement on our part where none exists.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnity, defend and hold harmless LJ’s Ladies Boutique, its directors, officers, employees, consultants, agents and affiliates, from any and all third party claims, liability, damages and/or costs (including, but not limited to, legal fees) arising from your use of this website or your breach of the terms of service.

Variation

LJ’s Ladies Boutique shall have the right in its absolute discretion at any time and without notice to amend, remove or vary the services and/or any page of this website.

LJ’s Boutique Loyalty Points terms and conditions
  1. As of January 2023, you, the user, can gain points on purchases made directly from the LJ’s Ladies boutique website (ljsladiesboutique.co.uk) only. You can earn loyalty points on most purchases only if you have registered an account on the LJ’s Ladies Boutique website and are logged into this account. Certain products are exempt from gaining loyalty points (please see number 5). It should show you on the product page of the website how many points you will gain from purchasing that particular item.
  2. Loyalty points are for website orders only and any points accrued cannot be used in any of the instore boutiques.
  3. Loyalty points do not have any cash value and cannot be used or exchanged for money. You can also not transfer your points to anyone else. To utilise loyalty points for a purchase you must have other items within checkout basket of full RRP – i.e you cannot buy sales items with your points or use your points alongside a coupon code.
  4. Loyalty points can be earned on items purchased in our online shop and the amount of points gained can vary from item to item. Every 10 points you collate is the equivalent of £1 to spend on your future purchase.
  5. Points will not be awarded on sale items, anything already reduced or for customers using a coupon code to complete their transaction. Cost of delivery is not included or cannot be redeemed with loyalty points
  6. If you wish to refund or cancel your purchase any awarded loyalty points will be deducted from your account.
  7. Once you have made a purchase utilising any points the relative loyalty points will be deducted from your account. You will have full visibility over loyalty points within your account.
  8. Please note that if you are not logged into your account when completing your transaction we cannot award the loyalty points at a later date. If you do not login to the correct account you forfeit the option to accrue points.
  9. You may cancel your account at any time, however any loyalty points remaining will be forfeited and void.
